Tough Love Sessions

Tough love. What does this entail? Well, it means we’re going to talk, talk, talk with honesty and respect. We’re going to go through your website, your annual report, your strategic plan, donor list and your IRS 990. We’re going to look at your organization from all sides, and then we’re going plan, plan, plan. And we’re going to set some realistic measurables and goals. We’re going to fill in a calendar with due dates. We’re going to assign tasks. And we’re gonna get fired up about our work. We’ll laugh, we’ll cry, it will be epic.

Some of the things we’ll be honest about:

  • What are your organization’s strengths and challenges? (Really. Don’t sugarcoat.)
  • What are your staff’s strengths and challenges? (We can’t help if we don’t know what’s wrong.)
  • Your board… same question. (The room’s not bugged, there is no one listening.)
  • Your leadership… same question. (Your opinion matters, your voice needs to be heard. Let’s treat you as such.)

There are many more questions we’ll ask you, but that’s a smattering. Then when we’re exhausted from talking & planning, we’ll head to the local watering hole. Drinks on us. Next day though?
